Climate Change Knowledge Portal

• The World Bank’s Climate Change Knowledge Portal is a one-stop-shop for geo-referenced climate data, climate-related information, and tools. The CCKP provides a web-based platform to assist in capacity building and knowledge development. The aim of the CCKP is to help provide development practitioners with a resource to explore, evaluate, synthesize, and learn about climate related vulnerabilities and risks to inform their decisions on development planning and policy making.
• Under this TA, the World Bank worked with Government agencies to develop the Climate Risk Profile for Uganda which provides additional information and context and serves as a critical resource for users.
• The Climate Change Knowledge Portal and the Climate Risk Profile for Uganda equips users applying the Climate and Disaster Risk Screening, and trainers, with adequate understanding on climate risks in Uganda and enhances the capability to effectively apply the CDRS tool.
